Janice Bryant Howroyd founded ACT•1 in 1978 with a single personnel office in Beverly Hills. Since then, ACT•1 has grown into a network of over 70 strategically positioned offices across the United States, and employs more than 65,000 temporary employees and over 300 direct hire employees nationwide.
